OPAM

Education for peace and acceptance of "different" people and cultures is one of the main tasks of OPAM. We believe that peace and justice can flourish only through educational actions aimed at building bridges of communion among peoples based on mutual understanding, respect for diversity and acceptance of the '"other" as a gift.
For this task we look for opportunities to reflect on the different kind of realities we learn and appreciate through our Association, not only for solidarity reasons, but above all to be enriched by the immense gifts that the South of the world can offer to the so-called developed countries.
 We count especially on young people, who are our future, to spread the idea of a missionary action between North and South of the world: no one is so poor to have nothing to offer to the other. In this context, two actions was born: twinnings  between schools, and OPAM voluntaries’ accounts to boys at school, catechism classes, youth Associations, etc.
We also promote meetings with educators, parents and teachers for debates on several issues related to multiculturalism and solidarity among peoples.
